Dear Entrusted Members,


I write this letter with urgency that you might reconsider selling the Wardlow property situated at 9191 Pioneer Drive in Huntington Beach. This park setting has been the backdrop for countless youth-oriented events for over 20 years. So many children have benefited from this location, perhaps in ways we will never know or understand.


Historically, parks such as this were planned well in advance of building any neighborhood. Obvious examples include Central Park in New York and Huntington Park in Pasadena. While Wardlow park shies in comparison to these great locations, it's most unfortunate, to think that we might lose this place for our children yet unborn. Every great community that has allowed it's parks to go, such as San Diego's Great Park from the 1890's, struggled to regain the former glory decades later.


Please take in to consideration, not only your current cash flow but also the far-ranging effects that this decision will make. This one seemingly insignificant decision this year, may prove to be a great folly. Keep in mind, once the land is sold and homes are built, the park can never be brought back again.
